These hand packed cockles come from Galicia, specifically from the Galician Rias along the Atlantic Coast. This area is known for the highest quality cockles in Europe. Their soft texture has a briny taste that pairs well with the juice from the tin. In Spain they are often served as a tapa accompanied by a vermouth or used as an ingredient in main courses.
Each tin contains 30-35 pieces.
